Tell me about it.
I want to make your tattoo perfect for you. That means I need information. Here’s what I need.
Description of idea
I need to know what you want your tattoo to look like. Some people don’t care and want me to take their idea and make it look however I want. Love that.
Some people have preferences. Things like fonts, gore, nudity, facial expressions, religious iconography, specific plants or animals, how the tattoo lays on the body or interacts with other tattoos are all examples of things that you may have a preference on, just to name a few. Love that as well.
Just make your preferences clear if you have them.
The reference photo section is there for you to show me what your preferences look like.
Size
Being clear about the size is important for me to know how much detail will fit in the tattoo, how long it will take, and how much it will cost.
For smaller pieces, comparing to an everyday object is great. For example, “I want the text to be the length of a no. 2 pencil” or “the size of a post-it note”.
For larger pieces, let me know how much of your body you want covered. For example, “I want my right arm covered from my shoulder to my elbow. Not wrapping around to the inside of my arm. Not going up onto my shoulder. I want the entire tattoo visible if you’re looking at me from the side”.
The sections labeled “photo of the area you’d like tattooed” is there for you to show me where and how big you’d like the piece to be. Outlining the area is the clearest way to show me. If you have other tattoos I’m working around, I need to be able to see them.
